Please note that Elections BC has strict regulations governing contributions to municipal political campaigns. All donors must be a resident of BC, as well as either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. The maximum personal donations is $1,402.40.
Because one of the most important roles of a municipal councilor is making decisions about new housing and commercial developments in our community, I want you to be confident that I'm making those decisions on their merits. As a result, I have chosen not to accept campaign donations from individuals who have ownership interests in development companies that currently operate, or hope to operate, in Saanich.
I am doing my best to screen my donations as they come in, and should I learn that I have inadvertently accepted a donation from someone with an ownership interest in such a company, I pledge to return it.
